In Alexandrov store owner fined 250 thousand rubles for counterfeit cigarettes

The Alexandrovsky City Court found the owner of the Tobacco store guilty of committing an offense related to the trafficking of unmarked tobacco products.

In January 2025, the defendant purchased and put up for sale more than 2,200 packs of cigarettes that do not have mandatory excise markings. In March 2025, the police revealed this offense, illegal products worth about 300 thousand rubles were withdrawn from circulation.

Taking into account the circumstances of the case, the court imposed a penalty of 250,000 rubles on the entrepreneur. Seized tobacco products are subject to destruction by a court decision. The ruling has not entered into force.
