In Ivanovo, the case of a fatal accident at the crossroads transferred to the court

In the Oktyabrsky district court of Ivanov began consideration of the criminal case against the 38-year-old motorist.

He was charged with violation of traffic rules, which resulted in the death of a person through negligence (part 3 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The tragedy occurred on June 20, 2025 at the intersection of Frunze and 5th Mineevskaya streets. According to investigators, driving the Chery Tiggo crossover, the man when turning left did not give way to a motorcycle moving in the opposite direction.

As a result of the collision, a 36-year-old motorcycle driver born in 1989 died in an ambulance from his injuries. The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of up to five years in prison.
