In Krasnodar announced the sentence of former employees of the traffic police: three ex-policemen convicted of bribes and abuse of power
The Soviet district court of Krasnodar ruled in a criminal case against Roman Khorkov, Maxim Nischadim, Georgis Tersenov and Pavel Zima. The defendants were accused of receiving bribes and abuse of official powers (Paragraph “a” of Part 5 of Article 290 and Part 1 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation); Khorkov, Nischadim and Tersenov also passed under Paragraph 5 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
As the court established, in August 2024, the defendants, while on duty, stopped a car whose driver showed signs of intoxication. According to the law, they had to remove the man from management and conduct an examination, but instead agreed to turn a blind eye to the violation for a fee of 200 thousand rubles. The driver did not have the necessary amount with him, and he asked for help from a friend: as a result, traffic police officers were given 150 thousand rubles, which the defendants disposed of at their own discretion.
On the same day, Khorkov, Nischadim and Tersenov extorted money from other motorists: under far-fetched pretexts they demanded a bribe, and the documents were returned only after receiving the funds. So, from different drivers they received 20 and 50 thousand rubles, according to the materials of the criminal case.
Following the trial, Pavel Zima, Georgis Tersenov and Roman Khorkov were found guilty. Maxim Nischadim proceedings in the case were suspended - he concluded a military contract to participate in the SVO.
The court imposed the following penalties:
In addition, all three were deprived of the right to hold positions in the civil service associated with the functions of a representative of power for 5 years. They will serve their sentence in a strict regime colony.
At the moment, the sentence has not entered into legal force, the United Press Service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory reports.
