The accused came to visit his beloved, who lives in one of the houses on O. Koshevoi Street. Since the gentleman had been drinking for several days, the woman threw him out the door.
Leaving the entrance, the defendant drew attention to a standing bicycle that was not fastened to the fence with a cable lock. He decided to steal a bike to get to his native agrotown.
However, he failed to implement his plans: the man realized that his forces were leaving him, and left a stolen bicycle near one of the houses. He called a taxi and drove home.
A few days later, he received a call from the police and was invited to the Partisan Police Department - the moment of the theft was captured by a CCTV camera, according to which the identity of the suspect was easily established. A criminal case was subsequently opened against him.
By the way, the bike stood outside for several days, after which one of the passers-by took it to himself, deciding that the bike was ownerless. The police also found and returned the property to the rightful owner.
- The accused is a disabled person of group III, has not previously been brought to criminal responsibility, commented Timur Stuzhuk, Deputy Prosecutor of Partizansky District. He is charged with secret theft of property (theft), that is, with committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code, the sanction of which is up to three years in prison. The citizen fully admitted his guilt, repented of what he had done. A preventive measure of detention has been applied against the accused.
