In the Smolensk region, the blogger-right-wing radical will stand trial for calls for violence against the peoples of the Caucasus and Central Asia
Employees of the FSB of Russia in the Smolensk region stopped the activities of a 47-year-old local resident who adheres to right-wing radical views

Employees of the FSB of Russia in the Smolensk region stopped the activities of a 47-year-old local resident who adheres to right-wing radical views. The man, who runs a blog on the Internet, out of hatred and enmity, published materials on his page calling for violence against representatives of the peoples of the Caucasus and Central Asia. The examination confirmed the presence in the content of signs of incitement to violent actions on ethnic grounds.
Based on the results of the collected materials, the investigative department of the regional department of the FSB opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Public calls for extremist activity”). The sanction of this article is punishable by up to five years of imprisonment. Investigative actions are being carried out to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
Important clarification: Submission of materials about this case to the federal media is allowed only after prior coordination with the FSB of Russia in the Smolensk region.
It should be noted that this is not the only case of suppression of illegal activities in the region in recent years. For example, earlier the Western district military court fined another 47-year-old resident of Smolensk 300 thousand rubles for public justification of terrorism (part 2 of article 205.2 of the criminal code). The man was a supporter of the views of the Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik, and he was forbidden to administer the sites for two years. In addition, a case was recently opened against a 41-year-old man for inciting hatred towards Russian servicemen in the messenger.
