The Supreme Court of Tatarstan reduced the terms of the participants of the “Jamai Brigade”
Reduced sentences of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan convicted in the case of the JAMAY Brigade

The sentences of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan convicted in the case of the JAMAY Brigade have been reduced. Marat Gatiyatullin and Andrei Neiderov were found guilty of murder and attempted murder. The Volga court of the capital sentenced them to imprisonment: Gatiyatullin – to 19.5 years, Neiderov – to 19.
The defence then filed a complaint against the verdict, citing violations committed during the proceedings. After considering the appeal in the Supreme Court of Tatarstan, the convicts were reduced their terms - each for six months.
Neiderov and Gatiyatullin were accused of the murder of Damir Sungatullin in 2001, as well as the assassination attempt on Rustem Khairullin in 1992 (caught near his house and opened fire). Khayrullin was wounded in the thigh, but survived thanks to timely assistance.
Gatiyatullin was killed in the industrial zone: first they were drunk, taken to a garment factory and shot. The body was buried there.
The case was opened in 2024: there were 5 people in the dock: Vitaly Fadeev, Oleg Veselov, Rinat Khabibullin, Andrei Naderov, Marat Gatiyatullin.
Fadeev died, Veselov signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the case of Khabibullin was allocated to a separate proceeding. If earlier five defendants were accused of murder, attempted murder and extortion, then, with the departure of three, the charge of extortion disappeared.
