In the Tobolsk district, a court sentenced a man who for nine months systematically raped a twelve-year-old schoolgirl, infected her with the human immunodeficiency virus and recorded crimes on video.

According to the investigation, the accused, being aware of his HIV status, deliberately infected the minor. He blackmailed the girl, demanding to send photos and videos with the naked body. Because of the real fear of threats, the victim gave him more than ten photos and videos.

At the trial, the man completely denied guilt, claiming that he communicated online with an adult girl (19 years old) and all actions were consensual. However, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to 22 years in prison. The first three years of serving the sentence, the offender will spend in a correctional colony of general regime, and the rest of the term in a strict regime colony. In addition, the court ordered him to pay the victim compensation for moral damage in the amount of two million rubles.
