As a result of the fire in the Lida district, a 57-year-old woman died, and her cohabitant was in intensive care. This sb.by reported in the Investigative Committee.

According to the investigation, in the evening of October 5, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a message about the fire of a private house in the agro-town of Mozheykovo. When extinguishing the fire, rescuers found in one of the rooms the body of a 57-year-old woman, as well as her 61-year-old roommate unconscious.
The victim was hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
An investigative team worked at the scene. The investigator, with the involvement of UGKSE specialists and Emergencies Ministry employees, conducted a detailed inspection, a trace picture was recorded. A set of forensic examinations has been appointed to establish the exact cause of the woman's death and the circumstances of the fire.
During the initial investigative actions, it was established that the focus of the fire was in the room from which the man was rescued. According to relatives, cohabitants abused alcoholic beverages and systematically smoked in residential areas.

All the circumstances and causes of the tragedy will be established by the Lida district department of the Investigative Committee during the inspection. Investigators once again remind of the need to comply with elementary fire safety rules.
