In the UK, a woman initially detained on suspicion of murdering a man has been charged with obstructing a lawful and dignified burial of a body and fraud. She has not been charged with murder. This was reported by Kent County Police.
The body of the man was found on November 5 in a residential building on Millmead Road in the city of Margit. At about 15:00, law enforcement officers arrived there after reports of concerns for the condition of a person in the building.
During the inspection of the premises, the police found the deceased. The officers subsequently identified his relatives and informed them of the incident.
During the investigation, a local resident Michelle Brimson, who lives on the same street, was detained. She was initially suspected of murder, but was later charged with other charges.
The investigation believes that the woman could prevent the proper burial of the body and commit fraud by providing false information. What actions she is accused of, law enforcement officers have not yet disclosed.
Brimson appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court. The court released her on bail with certain conditions. The next hearing is scheduled for December 7 at Canterbury Crown Court.
The cause of death of the man is still being determined. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the incident.
