A resident of Buryatia is the culprit of an accident with the death of a pregnant woman on the Baikal highway in the Angara region

In the Slyudyansky district of the Irkutsk region, an accident occurred, as a result of which the future mother died, and another man and a four-year-old child were injured. Law enforcement officers quickly detained the suspect, who tried to evade responsibility. This was reported by TASS with reference to the regional traffic police.

The car accident occurred on the route R-258 "Baikal" near the village of Novosnezhnaya in the Slyudyansk district. According to the investigation, the driver of the Nissan Presage motorist, who was traveling to Irkutsk, lost control of the car and crossed the dividing lane, getting into a head-on collision with the Toyota Prius Alpha. From a strong impact, this car was thrown away and it crashed into a Sitrak C7H truck. In a traffic accident, a 27-year-old woman who was in the cabin of the Toyota Prius Alpha died on the way to the hospital, the driver along with a four-year-old child were sent to the hospital.

The traffic police reported that the woman who died in the accident was in a position.

Immediately after the collision, the driver of the Nissan Presage tried to leave. The police of the Slyudyansk district quickly found and detained the driver, who is considered the culprit. This is a 40-year-old resident of the village Vydrino. He claimed that his car had been stolen. The police said that witnesses assure: the driver was this person, noting that he had previously drawn up protocols for driving in a drunken state.

The Prosecutor’s office of the Irkutsk region said that criminal proceedings have already begun on the fact of a road accident.
