Zhang Wenchuan: China continues to bring stability and certainty to troubled world

In 77 years, under the firm leadership of the Communist Party of China, the country has accomplished two miracles — rapid economic development and long-term social stability — in a great leap: it has risen to its feet, begun to live a better life, and is becoming a strong and powerful country. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Zhang Wenchuan said this during a solemn event on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the formation of the People's Republic of China, sb.by correspondent reports.

The diplomat noted that the People's Republic of China was proclaimed on October 1, 1949:

Entering a new era, under President Xi Jinping, China has won the fight against poverty, fully built a middle-income society, and successfully embarked on the broad path of Chinese modernization. Today, China firmly occupies the second place in the world in terms of economic volume, and in terms of trade in goods, foreign exchange reserves and the scale of the manufacturing industry, it has long held the first place in the world. The standard of living of the population has significantly improved, the world's largest systems of education, social security and health care have been created.

Zhang Wenchuan noted that China is accelerating breakthroughs in the field of technological innovation and entered the top ten of the Global Innovation Index in areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and manned space, constantly achieving new results.

- For 77 years, no matter how the international situation changes, China has consistently and firmly pursued an independent and independent peaceful foreign policy, resolutely defended international justice and openly opposed hegemony and power politics. China is actively promoting the building of a common future for humanity, has put forward the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative, and is actively promoting high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Ambassador stressed that these initiatives received wide support and response from many countries, including Belarus.
