Lukashenko urged to intensify economic cooperation with Pakistan
The President instructed to timely implement the agreements reached with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting with Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Said Yusuf Raza Gilani stated the need to intensify economic relations between the two countries. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The high level of political and parliamentary cooperation does not correspond to the current indicators of economic cooperation.
“It is encouraging that we will do much more. Although we're doing pretty well. But the level of political interaction that we have and parliamentary interaction clearly do not correspond to the economic level between Belarus and Pakistan, the Belarusian leader said.
Alexander Lukashenko recalled that at a recent meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, an agreement was reached to significantly intensify economic contacts this year and next. The President expressed his desire to fulfill all the tasks in a timely manner.
During the talks, an initiative was also voiced to conduct a serious audit of existing projects within the framework of the intergovernmental commission in order to reach areas relevant to both economies.
