From basketball to songs: in St. Petersburg chose the best dads

In the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg, the fathers went to the sports field with their children to compete for victory in the contest “My dad is the best”. On Father's Day, families from different parts of the city met. The program combined basketball, family competitions and creative performances. On October 20, a journalist of “MK in St. Petersburg” Camilla Latypova was present at the site of the fitness complex.

Strength alone was not enough to win here. In some competitions it was required to show sportsmanship, in others - resourcefulness and the ability to work harmoniously with the whole family. I also had to prepare and show a creative number. Despite the fact that only one family received the title of winner in each nomination, there was a friendly atmosphere on the court. Everyone was sick for everyone.

The most athletic dad was found on the basketball court. Men competed in accuracy: it was necessary from five attempts to score more points, throwing the ball into the basket. First place was taken by Nikita Shklyaev from the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg. “Silver” took home Anton Rumyantsev from the Krasnogvardeysky district, and “bronze” – Artur Khamdulayev, who represented the Primorsky district.

The second test required all family members to work together. They had to help the father first “turn” into a robot with the help of a prefabricated suit, and then overcome a difficult distance.

As a result, the most resourceful was recognized by Alexander Filippov from the Vyborg district. The second and third places were taken by representatives of the Krasnogvardeysky district - Andrei Kasatkin and Anton Rumyantsev.

“Events are useful in bringing the family together. In the third, creative competition, we participated together. The children were very involved in this process. In such competitions, you feel the support of the family and children who care for you. Thank you to my wife who brought us here and the organizers for the contests. It was not the result that was important for us, but the participation: we came for positive emotions, said Anton Rumyantsev, the owner of the bronze.

The third competition was really the brightest. Participants showed their creative numbers. Families danced, juggled weights to Russian folk songs, showed a master class on fencing, sang and played musical instruments.

“The motto of our family: a boring wife is grief in the house. We try to participate in all city sports events, charity events, family races. We have been participating in the contest “My Dad is the Best” for the second year. In the past, for the creative number received first place. This year, not everything went according to plan, as there was little time to prepare, improvised as possible. But when they ran to the dressing room after the number, there was a sea of emotions. It was very cool, said Olga Rumyantseva.

The organizers presented diplomas and memorable gifts to the winners and prize-winners of the competition, and certificates to all participants. And words of support and instructions to the participants of the competition were said by honorary guests - parents with many children Dmitry and Ksenia Borisov, raising three children. This year, as the organizers of the event reported, they became laureates of the All-Russian contest “Family of the Year” in the nomination “Young Family”.
