In Moscow, five foreigners are accused of kidnapping a compatriot.
In Moscow, five foreigners are accused of kidnapping a compatriot. The victim was released, two accused were detained, three more were declared wanted, the press service of the capital’s department of the Investigative Committee reported.
According to investigators, in the evening of October 5, near the house on the street of Young Lenin, the accused approached the victim, used violence and against his will placed in the trunk of the car, and then fled.
Two detainees were charged with kidnapping (paragraph “a, in” part 2 of Art. 126 of the Criminal Code). On October 8, the investigation intends to apply to the Kuzminsky District Court with a petition for their detention.
Three other alleged accomplices were charged in absentia. The investigation also intends to request their arrest in absentia.
According to Part 2 of Art. 126 of the Criminal Code, kidnapping of a person committed by a group of persons on prior conspiracy or with the use of violence dangerous to life or health, threatens with punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to 12 years.
