Died actor from the films “Demons” and “Moscow love” Leonid Udalov

Actor of the Moscow regional theater of drama and comedy Leonid Udalov died at the 66th year of life. His death was reported by the press service of the theater.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that the artist of the Moscow Regional Drama and Comedy Theater Leonid Udalov has not become. We will miss his voice, his smile, his presence behind the scenes and on stage. The departure of Leonid Yurievich was a great loss for the entire team, the statement said.

Colleagues remembered Udalov as a talented and friendly person, appreciated his professionalism, intelligence and sense of humor. The theater also noted that the audience loved the artist for his sincerity and skill.

“We are grateful to him for the years of working together, for the talent he shared with the audience, and for all the good that he left in the memory of people,” the theater added.

The theater told TASS that the artist died for a reason related to his health. The agency's interlocutor did not elaborate.

According to TASS, farewell to Udalov will be held on November 11 in the morgue at the Center for Pathological Research of the First I. M. Sechenov Moscow State Medical University in Moscow. The ceremony will begin at 12:00 GMT at the address: Rossolimo street, 12, building 1.

Leonid Udalov was born on August 20, 1961. In 1983 he graduated from the Higher Theatre School named after M. S. Shchepkin.

Since 2002, the actor worked in the State Theatre of the film actor. Among his theatrical works are the roles of Gurgo in Corsicanca, Harvey in Broadway, Broadway, The Wolf in Slices on Nooks and The Musician in Holy Boy.

Udalov also starred in the films The Killer’s Place is Vacant (1990), Moscow Love (1991), Demons (1992) and Life That Wasn’t There (2008).

In 2019, the actor joined the troupe of the Moscow Regional Drama and Comedy Theater. On his stage, he performed the roles of Timofeev in “Five Evenings”, Oshepo in “The Sixth Floor”, Leo in “Waiting for Jazz”, Nikolai Petrovich Kirsanov in “Fathers and Children” and Santa Claus in the play of the same name. In 2024, the artist was awarded the medal “For works in culture and art”.
