Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Andrey Strigelsky told about the key priorities of information work in the capital at the city seminar “Dialogue of power and society through media communications” on October 28, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.
As A. Strigelsky noted, social networks have become the main source of information not only for young people, but also for all residents of the capital. That is why companies and organizations should maintain official accounts in a qualitative and interesting manner. It is important to talk not only about events, but also to raise topics of concern to the population. Show people how internal systems work. It is possible to fill the lack of information by working with journalists and bloggers.
- Invite opinion leaders, think through the formats of presentation of information together. We are talking not only about classic news stories, but also about thematic projects. For example, we recently launched a travel project with the participation of well-known Belarusian bloggers. We show them what is changing in the districts, what is built and open to people, Strigelsky said.
It is also necessary to pay due attention to the filling of official sites. Cases where links are not opened or contain irrelevant information, such as outdated regulations, have increased.

“A person, having accessed the site, should easily and promptly receive important information or use public services,” Strigelsky said.
In addition, the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee focused on the need for high-quality information preparation for the most important events in the country and the city. The key of them is the regular meeting of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, where the results of the work for the year on the implementation of the program of socio-economic development will be summed up. Special attention will be paid to the upcoming anniversary of Minsk. In the year of the 960th anniversary of the city, the task of the press services is to tell more about the capital, its history, what you can see in the districts, what you can get acquainted with at enterprises where you can spend time. In addition, Minsk was awarded the honorary title “Youth Capital of the CIS”.
- It is important to show that young people here can get a quality education, realize their potential, ideas and initiatives, as well as how constructively the dialogue between the authorities and young people is built today, Strigelsky said.
