Boxer from Velikiy Luk Kirill Korshakov became world champion among athletes under 19 years

Kirill Korshakov from Veliky Bow won a gold medal at the World Boxing Championship among athletes under 19 in the weight category up to 85 kg and was recognized as the best boxer of the competition. This was reported by the Governor of the Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov.

Competitions are held in Budva (Montenegro). In the final match, Kirill, by a unanimous decision of the judges, defeated Sardorbek Bakhromkhuzhayev from Uzbekistan, the Asian champion among young people.

Now the athlete trains in St. Petersburg under the leadership of Sergey Vovnyanchenko, and his sports path began in Velikie Luki. After receiving the award, the champion thanked everyone who led him to victory, including the first coach Yuri Fedorov.

This year Kirill Korshakov has already become the European champion among young men under 19 in Loznica and has fulfilled the standard of a master of sports of international class.
