More than 11 thousand Kostroma parents received a new family payment

More than 11 thousand parents from the Kostroma region have already benefited from a new measure of support for families with children. The payment is valid from June 2026 and is intended for families in which two or more children are brought up, and the average per capita income does not exceed one and a half regional subsistence minimums. At the same time, parents must work officially and have no alimony arrears.

The payment mechanism is associated with the recalculation of personal income tax: instead of the standard 13%, the tax for program participants is calculated at a rate of 6%, and the difference is returned to the family in the form of an annual payment. In the Kostroma region, its average size is about 26 thousand rubles. In total, the regional branch of the Social Fund transferred about 300 million rubles to families.

Applications can be submitted remotely through “public services”. Acceptance of applications will last until October 1, so families who meet the established conditions can still apply for payment.
