Emergency hospital reported the health of a woman affected by the fall of plaster

The emergency occurred on October 25 at about 15:30. A piece of finish fell on a passer-by during the cleaning of the roof of house No. 28, carried out after the completion of construction work. The woman was promptly taken to RB SEMP for medical examination. The staff of the clinic confirmed that according to the results of the computed tomography, the patient's condition is assessed as satisfactory, and hospitalization is not necessary.

Following the incident, the head of the State Committee of Karelia for Construction, Housing and Road Supervision Grigory Vertinsky appealed to management companies, developers and contractors. He reminded them of the need to ensure the security of the perimeter of buildings during construction activities, and in winter – when cleaning snow masses and ice from roofs. Vertinsky emphasized that the heads of companies whose services do not meet safety standards for the life and health of citizens are subject to criminal prosecution.
