Members of the POC checked the conditions of detention in SIZO-2 Civilsk

The detention center was visited by representatives of the Public Supervisory Commission of Chuvashia and the Public Council under the regional Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service.

The delegation included the chairman of the POC of Chuvashia Irina Bulygina, a member of the commission Igor Filippov and the chairman of the Public Council under the FSIN Mikhail Fomichev. During the visit, they were accompanied by the head of SIZO-2 Evgeny Yermolenko.

Human rights defenders examined the facilities of the institution, assessed the conditions of detention of suspects and accused, as well as the observance of their rights. Special attention was paid to minors detained in the remand prison.

In addition, a preventive lecture was held for convicts included in the economic service detachment of SIZO-2. It was dedicated to the fight against drug and alcohol dependence.
