Additional guarantee for pregnant women proposes to make in the Labor code of the Deputy
The Labor Code proposes to introduce a norm providing for the release of pregnant women from work in connection with the need to undergo mandatory training.

The Labour Code proposes to introduce a provision providing for the release of pregnant women from work due to the need to undergo compulsory medical research. This legislative initiative was voiced by the Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Angelika Kurchak on the air of the RTR-Belarus TV channel, sb.by reports.

The MP stressed that the legislative initiative comes from life. So, at one of the meetings, a man turned to her, who said that his pregnant wife was not allowed to leave work for medical examinations.
“To date, the labour legislation does not provide for exemption from work due to the need for compulsory research. We have already worked on this issue in our relevant commissions. I also worked with the Ministry of Health. I hope that when this bill comes to us, I will initiate such an addition to our Labor Code, said Angelika Kurchak. Working mothers are given additional breaks to feed a child under the age of one and a half years – the Ministry of Labor
