Road services Yoshkar-Ola switched to winter mode
In Yoshkar-Ola, utilities are already treating roads with deicing materials.
It snowed for the second time this cold season. Although it is rapidly melting down, city services have already switched to an enhanced mode of operation.
At night, three units of special equipment went on duty. They treated the most dangerous areas with anti-icing reagents: bridges, large intersections and turning rings. In the day shift, four machines joined the work, which continue to process the intersections, where the coast down is formed. The sidewalks remove tractors from the snow.
According to JSC "City", of 86 units of snow removal equipment for the winter fully ready about two-thirds. The remaining vehicles will be converted as needed. Stocks of reagents - sand-salt mixture and galite - are harvested in the right amount.
Acting mayor Anton Rudinov appealed to residents with an urgent request: it is time to change summer tires to winter tires. “This is a matter of your safety and the safety of other road users,” he said.
