Two intersections of Penza will be equipped with cameras for 17 million rubles

Penza plans to equip new frontiers of photo and video recording of traffic violations. Information about this appeared on the website of public procurement. The equipment will be installed on two sections of the city road network - at the intersections of Kirov and Kuraev streets, as well as Suvorov and Kulakov.

The initial cost of work is 16 million 950 thousand 158 rubles. Funds for the implementation of the contract are provided in the budget of the Penza region for 2026. The customer is the GBU of Penza region "Safe region".

The contractor will be determined by the results of an electronic auction. The results of the purchase are planned to be announced on September 25. After the conclusion of the contract, the work must be completed by November 30, 2026.

The documentation contains the characteristics of the areas where the equipment is planned to be placed.

On Kurayev Street, the width of the carriageway in the fixation zone is 12 meters, the allowed speed is up to 60 km / h. There are two lanes – one in each direction. On both sides of the road there are sidewalks three meters wide.

On Kirov Street there is also a road with a width in the fixation zone of 12 meters and a maximum permitted speed of 60 km / h. The number of lanes in different areas is different. There are four to Kurayev Street, two in each direction. After crossing, the number increases to five: three lanes go from Karl Marx Street and two – in the opposite direction.

Separately, the documentation describes the site from the side of the bridge named after V.P. Kapashin. There are five lanes - three from the side of the bridge and two in the opposite direction. The sidewalks on both sides of the road are three meters wide.

On the street Suvorov parameters differ in speed mode. Here, the width of the road in the fixation zone is 12 meters, but the maximum allowed speed is 40 km / h. On the site there are four lanes - two in each direction. On both sides there are three-meter sidewalks, the pavement of the road is asphalt.

New equipment is planned to be placed on existing supports. The photocomputing unit and infrared spotlight will be installed at a height of at least six meters from the road surface.

The switching unit and the cabinet of the uninterruptible power supply will be placed higher - at least four meters from the ground.

The work will be divided into two stages. First, the contractor will have to deliver equipment and necessary materials, as well as agree on a temporary traffic scheme for the installation period.

At the second stage, specialists will directly install the equipment, lay power and communication lines, configure the system and, after completion, hand over the facility.

So, by the end of November in Penza will be new frontiers of photo and video fixation in areas with different traffic organization and speed. Residents of the regional capital need to be careful and observe traffic rules.
