Two families in Parfin district handed keys to new apartments

On the Day of National Unity, a joyful event took place in the House of Culture of the village of Parfino. Two families huddled in emergency homes for years finally got the keys to new apartments. These are not the only lucky ones - another nine Parfin families celebrated a housewarming a little earlier, in October, the press service of the Ministry of Construction and Housing of the Novgorod region reported.
Such important changes were made possible thanks to the federal project “Ensuring sustainable reduction of uninhabitable housing stock”, which is implemented as part of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.
Since 2017, 52 apartment buildings with a total area of more than 20 thousand square meters have been recognized as uninhabitable in the Parfinsky district, where more than 1,100 people previously lived. All of these addresses are included in the regional resettlement programme, which is being systematically implemented as funding is made available.
The results of this systematic work are already noticeable. If in 2024, 46 families received new keys, then in 2025 50 residential premises were purchased for residents of emergency houses, and 107 people were able to celebrate a housewarming. This year it is planned to provide comfortable housing for another 85 citizens. By the end of the year, 42 apartments will be purchased.
In general, 150 people will be able to improve their living conditions throughout the Novgorod region this year, and the total volume of the emergency fund resettled will be 3,300 square meters.
