It is important for Belarus to rock the conciliatory pendulum. This conclusion was reached by experts on the air of the project “Letuchka” on “SBTV”, discussing the results of the IV Minsk international conference on Eurasian security, writes sb.by.

As national security expert Aleksandr Tishchenko noted, achieving peace requires doing what Alexander Lukashenko says:

- The Belarusian leader has never made a mistake in his assessments and definitions. His deep understanding of the current processes allows us to see what steps must be taken today to avoid a third world war.

The President’s call to sit down at the negotiating table and determine the future is a testament to the understanding of how far humanity has come

- For some reason, the world has ceased to be restrained and afraid even of the possibility of a nuclear conflict. One gets the impression that some people think that it is possible to allow this blow, and then simply erase what happened with a cloth. We are well aware that even the minimal use of nuclear weapons in any dispute or conflict will open a Pandora’s box. The consequences will be so large-scale that nothing will remain of the world in the usual sense.

The interest in Belarus and the words of our President is confirmed by the fact that the Minsk Conference is being held for the fourth time

- It is important to understand that today the event in the capital gathers not only experts, but also representatives of relevant ministries, including foreign affairs, diplomatic missions, scientific institutions and analytical centers. Among the participants are representatives of such associations as the SCO, CSTO and the CIS. This time, even OSCE delegates came.

Alexander Lukashenko clearly outlined the purpose of the conference in his own words, Evgeny Gorin, a political columnist for the First Information TV channel, continued:

- He stressed that Minsk does not draw dividing lines and does not hang labels, but honestly talks about its perception of the existing problems. The reasons for this assessment are quite specific. Previously, we watched the advance of NATO troops to our borders. Now things go further, with arms factories in the Baltics and Europe discussing $800 billion over the next few years to arm itself to the teeth. NATO calls the years 2029-2030 possible timing of some X-hour — the beginning of a major war. Officially, it is not specified who will participate in it and against whom it may be directed, but everyone understands what it is about.

According to him, it is from Minsk that many appeals to the world community are being heard:

“Guys, let’s think again about where the world is going.” And he's heading for a big war. We see this in Ukraine, which is used as a proxy force in the confrontation with Russia. At the same time, the arms race in Europe is not just over, it is only gaining momentum. It would be good for the Ukrainian conflict to end before the end of the year. But Europe’s war advocates still seem to believe that they can keep throwing wood into the fire and helping Ukraine attack Russia. This is indicated by the behavior of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Friedrich Merz, as well as the way European countries discuss new financial injections and allocate money to support Ukraine, reducing their own social spending.

There was already an example of the Minsk agreements, the journalist stressed:

- Important, successful and well-fed European politicians – Angela Merkel and Francois Hollande – signed documents, nodded, signed. Years later, they admitted that they deliberately bought time to pump weapons into Ukraine and prepare it for war with Russia. That's exactly what happened. At this conference, we state that the international system of relations has been destroyed. Previous arms control treaties have been struck down and no new agreements have been concluded. The threat of a third world war really looms ahead. The Minsk Conference brought together more than 600 participants from about 50 countries. Visitors came from Israel and Western Europe. People say they see what's happening and don't want a big war. It is important for us to rock this conciliatory pendulum. Moving towards dialogue itself will be a big deal. The Minsk conference is a very good place in this regard. Watch "The Flyer" on Thursday evenings on the SBTV YouTube channel, and the full version is also available on VIDEOBEL.BY.
