Belarusian farmers are on the finish line in the harvesting of corn and sugar beets. The plan is more than 5 million tons of sweet root crop. This is about 700,000 tons of sugar. Among the leaders of cleaning, Grodno region is traditionally in the bins of more than one and a half million tons. In the north of the country there is a bet on corn. This season under the queen of fields - three times more area. It is planned to remove about 200 thousand tons of grain. How is the hot season of harvest autumn?

The Senko farm near Grodno is the largest producer of sugar beet in the region. The harvest is almost dug, now gradually taken out of the fields. And this year it is especially good - 910 tsga are collected. And according to its main parameter - the level of sugar content - this culture gives more than 16%.

Dmitry Brukish, First Deputy Chairman of I.P. Senko Agricultural Enterprise (Grodno district): These 800 hectares form a record harvest. Today we can already tentatively say that we will be able to ship more than 70 thousand tons of sugar beet root vegetables. This is a large volume for export, the load on us is large, but we are happy, because there is something to ship and there is a harvest. When there is a harvest, there is income and people are interested in this work.”.

The whole crop from the field is immediately taken for processing to Skidel. At the sugar plant, the harvesting season of raw materials is already at its peak. Take sugar beets here without weekends and holidays, from morning to late evening – the flow of cars is endless. With sugar, we will definitely do it. Enough for yourself and for export. The volume of workpieces is also close to last year’s record of one million three hundred thousand tons.

Olga Belko, Deputy General Director for Raw Materials of the Skidel Sugar Plant: The procurement company has gained its maximum turnover. The plant already receives more than 14 thousand tons of raw materials per day. The yield of sugar beet this year is very good, decent, at the level of last year. Somewhere in some farms there are above the level of last year. At this point, we have already crossed the basic sugar content.”.

And this is the corn field of Rudakovo farm in Vitebsk district. Cleaning - under the control of an experienced mechanizer Vasily Isakovich. At the age of 14, he began as an assistant combiner, now transfers experience to beginners. The approach to corn is special. More effort, time and special equipment. In order to prevent losses, there is no rush, everything is strictly according to technology.

We remove special harvesters all-wheel drive, special reaper. It is designed to harvest corn to separate the cob from the stem.”.

Rustam Nurmagomedov, assistant harvester of agricultural enterprise "Rudakovo": "I work as a locksmith in the farm. At the end of the season, I decided to try the assistant combiner. I feel like I’m making some money. In the future, I want to try myself as a mechanic.”.

Sown areas under the queen of fields in the farm increased by 4 times. In total - more than 3 thousand hectares. The grain harvest will be completed this week, on the silo in the middle of the month. The crushed mass is the most nutritious food for local Burenok (cow plans). A source of energy, vitamins and minerals. The goal is to keep them until next season.

The number of agricultural enterprises is more than 12 thousand heads, so we are trying to lay feed: of them we plan to lay 70 thousand tons of silage at the moment we are laying corn on ivy grain (we plan to lay about 3000 tons or more).

30 thousand hectares – the total area for corn in the region. Strict technology, timely, balanced feeding and a master approach are the formula for a good harvest. The leaders are Dubrovensky, Chashnik and Lepelsky districts: more than 100 centners per hectare are collected. And such effective cleaning is a significant contribution to the economy and food security of the country.
