The former director of the meat processing plant was sentenced to 7 years for receiving bribes in large and especially large sizes. This was reported in the Department of interaction with the media of the Prosecutor General’s office, writes sb.by.

As established during the trial, the director of the meat processing plant from July 1, 2019 to May 28, 2025 received 1.8 million in the form of cryptocurrency and cash as illegal remuneration from the heads of private organizations. The money was transferred to him for organizing the purchase of complex food additives and their use in the production activities of the meat processing plant.

The court, based on the voluntary payment of criminal income by the former head and the fulfillment of other obligations provided for by the pre-trial cooperation agreement, appointed him on the basis of Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 430 of the Criminal Code a sentence of imprisonment for a period of 7 years with a fine of 5,000 base units (225 thousand) with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the performance of organizational, administrative and administrative and economic duties for 5 years.

The sentence has not entered into legal force, can be appealed and appealed on appeal.
