State Border Committee held a cultural and sports holiday in honor of National Unity Day in Minsk

On September 19, border guards held a large-scale cultural and sports festival in Minsk. For the second year in a row, in honor of National Unity Day, the competitions were held on the basis of the Republican Center of the Olympic Reserve for Athletics. This is reported in the telegram channel of the State Border Committee, writes sb.by.

Chairman of the State Border Committee, Major-General Konstantin Molostov, during the welcoming speech, wished the teams and participants to tune in to the fight and show a sports character, as well as a good mood and positive emotions.

He also noted:

- 87 years ago, our people were reunited as part of a single state - the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic. Through this act of historical justice, Belarusians came to national unity in their desire to build a sovereign state. We have firmly learned the most important lessons of history: only united can freedom and independence be preserved; only through our creative work can a strong and prosperous Belarus be built. The policy pursued by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is aimed at solving these problems, thanks to which peace and civil harmony are preserved in our country. The Head of State attaches importance to sports, while setting a personal example. Without physical activity, sports will not be healthy children, people and the nation as a whole.

Before the start of the team was instructed by Major Yulia Nesterenko, head coach of the sports team of the border service, Olympic champion and Honored Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus.

Representatives of the State Border Committee and military units of the Minsk garrison fought for victory in command and individual disciplines. The program was rich: relays, intellectual games, laser tag, archery, cycling, darts and even sumo.

Guests of the holiday together with children visited entertainment areas with aquagrim and bright photo zones. The traditional "delicious bonus" for all participants was a real border porridge cooked in the field kitchen. The exhibition of weapons and modern drones, as well as the bright performance of the Mechanics group, caused great interest.

At the end of the holiday, a ceremony was held to award winners of the win-win lottery and winners of the competition. The leader at the end of the competition was the team of the Chairman of the State Border Committee, the second place for the second year in a row is taken by the team of the Communications and Support Group.
