How to correctly submit readings of water and gas meters through ERIP: step-by-step instructions

Formally, the entire procedure for monthly payment for gas and water passes through the ERIP system, through which most utility payments are made in Belarus. In practice, not everyone can find the right item in the branched menu tree the first time. In this article, we will help you understand what and when to enter, so that the testimony is accurately preserved.

What to Remember When Paying When Paying

Timeline. Indications of water and gas meters are removed no later than the last day of the calendar month, and paid - until the 25th day of the next month. For gas, there is a narrower window: payment is issued after the 15th, so gas workers are asked to pay in the period from the 15th to the 25th.

Where to serve. There is no need to install a separate ERIP application. Indications are made through the "ERIP System" section (sometimes "Single Settlement" or "Payments") in the mobile or Internet banking of any Belarusian bank. The structure of the menu in different banks is approximately the same, since they all connect to the same payment system.

Personal account. To enter testimony, you will need the number of the personal account - it is indicated in the fat (notice) in the upper left part of the document. For gas when switching to a new branch of ERIP, the account number must contain 13 digits: it is formed from the code of the gas supply organization and the contract number, with the addition of zeros up to 13 characters.

How to submit water meters readings

Step 1. Take your statement

On the water counter there are numbers in black and red. Black is cubic meters, red is liters. To testify, rewrite all black digits to the decimal point and the first digit after the decimal point (if any).

Make sure you’re looking at the right meter: cold water is usually blue, hot is red. To check, open the cold water tap and see which meter started spinning.

Step 2. Find a service in ERIP

There are two ways.

Method A - through the menu tree:

Payments – ERIP System – Utilities – Water Supply (or Housing and Communal Services) – your city or region – the name of the service organization (for example, “Minskvodokanal”) – Utilities payments of AIS “Calculation-Housing”.

Method B - by service code (faster):

At the root of the ERIP tree, select “Payment to ERIP by service code” and enter an individual code. For example, for Minsk residents served through the Unified settlement and reference center, the service code is 11. The code can be found on the website of your service organization or in the fat. Keep it in templates so you don’t look every month.

Step 3. Enter a personal account and check the data

After selecting the service, the system will request a personal account number. Enter the fat numbers. The application will pull up the subscriber's data: surname, address, apartment number. Be sure to check them with fat so as not to accidentally make statements on someone else's account.

Step 4. Make a statement

On the screen will appear fields with previous values of meters. In the ERIP system, the order is as follows: the first is always a cold water meter, the second is hot.

Enter the current readings for each meter, rounding to whole cubic meters. The system will calculate the difference and determine the amount of water consumed.

Step 5. Pay

It is important to understand that the amount of payment by water will not appear on the screen. The entered indications will be taken into account when accruing next month and will be in the next fat. Paying for water is formally a separate action, even if it happens on the same screen.

With gas, the situation is a little more complicated: from 2024, gas supplying organizations are gradually transitioning to a single accrual system of AIS “Settlement-ZhKU”, and the path to ERIP has changed for many.

How to know which branch to use

Check the old branch: Utilities - Gas supply - your area - branch of gas supply - Natural gas. If after entering the personal account in the line "Note" there was a message about the transition to a new branch - it means that your organization has already been transferred to the AIS "Calculation-ZhKU" and you need to pay in a new way.

Step 1. Take your statement

On the board of the gas counter 5-8 digits. Rewrite only the numbers to the comma – this is the volume in cubic meters.

Step 2. Find a favor

New branch (if the organization is already in the AIS "Calculation-ZhKU"):

ERIP System – Utility Payments – Gas Supply of AIS “Settlement-ZhKU” – your city or region – your gas supply organization (for example, “Minskoblagaz”) – Gas supply of AIS “Raccount-ZhKU”.

Old branch (if the transition has not yet taken place):

ERIP System – Utilities – Gas Supply – Your Region – Gas Supply Area – Branch Name (RGS) – Natural Gas.

Step 3. Enter a personal account

For a new branch, the account number must contain 13 digits. It is formed from the 5-digit code of the gas supply organization and the number of your contract, with the addition of zeros in the middle up to 13 characters.

Step 4. Make a statement and pay

Enter the current meter reading. The system will automatically calculate the amount to be paid - you do not need to count anything yourself. Payment is made from the 15th to the 25th day of the month following the calculation.

If there is an error in the new branch or there is no information about the personal account, you can temporarily use the old branch - the money will not disappear and will be credited to your account.

Alternative method: ERIP Personal Cabinet

In addition to the banking application, testimony can be submitted through the ERIP Personal Account on the website erip.raschet.by. The service is free.

An interbank identification system (MSI) is required for registration. There are three ways to enter:

1. 1.by password – login and static password of MSI (you must first register with MSI);
2. 2.by SMS - identification number from the passport + mobile phone number, which will receive a one-time password;
3. 3.on biometrics – the image of the face (if the biometrics is registered in the MSI).

Through the Personal Account you can: receive electronic fats, watch the history of accruals, refuse paper notice.

What happens if you don't testify on time

If the indications are not transferred, the accrual is at the average monthly expense for the previous months, and in the long absence of data - according to the norm. After resuming the submission of real testimony, a recalculation is made, but you need to understand that in this case it may not be in your favor.

You need to pass the readings every month, even if the numbers on the meters have not changed - for example, you were away and did not use water. In this case, repeat the readings of the previous month so that the system does not charge the average fee.

If you made an error when entering, it is impossible to change the readings in the ERIP Personal Cabinet or through the RCC. It is necessary to contact the service organization - for example, for water in the Vodosbyt DRC at 119 (for Minsk), for gas - at 162.

Common mistakes

1. 1.Testifying on someone else's account. Do not miss the step of checking the name and address after entering a personal account.
2. 2.Confused cold and hot water. In ERIP, the first is always a cold water meter - even if the meters are in a different order in the apartment.
3. 3.We paid for the gas before the 15th. The requirement has not yet been put into the system, incorrect accruals and recalculations are possible.
4. 4.They didn't testify, but they paid. Without entering current readings, the system will accrue on average, and the recalculation then may not be in your favor.
5. 5.Injected false testimony. It is impossible to correct through ERIP - contact the service organization.
