How to extinguish electric cars and prevent forest fires: rescuers of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan exchanged experience in Nesvizh

How to put out electric cars and how satellites can prevent forest fires Rescuers from Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan discussed effective counteraction to modern threats in the field of security at a joint board of ministries of the three countries in Nesvizh.

It was about developing and sharing experiences. Each of the countries has developments and ready answers to a number of incidents. Somehow in the mining rescue, the elimination of fires of electric vehicles. Given their growing popularity, firefighters needed technical means and solutions in case of emergency situations. They also exchanged experience and practice in eliminating man-made disasters, technical solutions for firefighters and rescuers. Now this includes satellite technologies that allow not only to notice the planned fires in forests and peatlands, but also to predict them.

Alexander Kurenkov, Minister of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of Russia: In any state, the issue of saving people is very acute from the point of view of the invaluableness of human life. Of course, there is not much experience, and it seems that everyone has almost everything the same, but there are geographical features, there is a huge number of technological industries that make certain adjustments in terms of saving both workers and rescuers themselves, sometimes, due to the fact that there are project accidents that have to be dealt with in the deep future. And the Emergencies Ministry of Russia takes for a certain purpose to fight the maximum threat. And, coming to the maximum threat, we will probably cope with a simple or medium task. And most importantly, when there is a fight in minutes, we will try to fight in seconds.”.

Vadim Sinyavsky, Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus: Representatives of the National Academy of Sciences spoke at the board, who demonstrated our promising developments in the field of space monitoring and sensing of the Earth. And all this allows us to be sure that our population, our territories, our economic facilities will be well protected from various disasters and emergencies. The second rather serious area is the training of our diving and rescue units. We do not have the skills or capabilities to conduct various rescue activities on deep-sea rivers and bodies of water. But Russia shows what robotic systems are, what opportunities are there.”.

As a result of the board, areas of cooperation for the next year were determined. Among them are the exchange of experience in the field of robotics and unmanned systems, strengthening control over compliance with the EAEU technical regulations, scientific, technical and educational cooperation, as well as ensuring the safety of navigation and navigation of small vessels.
