What bonuses can get those who wish to settle in empty rental housing

Rental housing that is empty or subject to demolition can be sold for one basic amount. This was told by Minister of Housing and Communal Services Gennady Trubilo following a meeting with the Head of State on September 22, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency reports.

Recall that at the meeting, the issue of involving unclaimed rental housing in the economic turnover was considered.

According to BelTA, the minister drew attention to the fact that at the moment 15 thousand rental premises are empty for more than six months. Such housing, built in Soviet times, is mainly in rural settlements.

- More than 1.3 thousand residential premises are planned to be involved in circulation, and there is a demand for this. More than 2.5 thousand residential premises need to be repaired, about 6 thousand to demolish for lack of demand and dilapidation, said G. Trubilo.

The regional executive committees have developed an action plan to involve such empty housing in circulation. According to the Minister of Housing and Utilities, the President discussed and supported the issue of giving the right to local administrative and executive bodies by the decision of the regional executive committees to sell housing in need of repair or subject to demolition for one base value.

- We also have such a mechanism for involvement in circulation as an auction with a decrease in price. It is more expensive (about nine months) and more expensive. It is necessary to evaluate the premises, submit it to an auction, and we practically do not get the effect from this. Therefore, the head of state supported (proposal). “BelTA approx.) after all, according to the decision of local authorities, to determine the list of residential premises that can be sold for one basic one,” Trubilo explained.

The Minister added that there is another proposal for rental housing that needs repair. So, if a person applying for such a living space expresses a desire to settle there and independently make repairs, these costs will be deducted from the rent. That is, due to this, the citizen will be temporarily exempt from rent.

- We have discussed all approaches and we see a clear picture of how to involve rental residential premises in the economic turnover, Trubylo summed up.

In addition, the Minister of housing drew attention to the already existing mechanism associated with the purchase of rental housing. This opportunity is available to young specialists of the most popular specialties, who live in small settlements up to 20 thousand people, after ten years of work in the organization that provided housing.
