Kalujan warns of fraudster activity ahead of Black Friday

They create sites that copy popular marketplaces and brands and lure buyers with discounts and bonuses, in hopes of obtaining bank card details and access codes.

“Fraudsters create sites-doubles of popular marketplaces and brands, completely copying their design and assortment, while the URL of such sites may differ from the original only by a couple of characters,” said Assia Dmitrieva, a member of the Association of Lawyers of Russia.

In an interview with RIA Novosti, she noted that after receiving payment, fake sellers disappear.

As reported earlier, the Kaluga taxi driver hid the client’s phone in the garage.
