Karelia gives residents the opportunity to block access to gambling

Citizens of Karelia now have the right to limit their participation in gambling. To do this, it is enough to submit an appropriate application, which can be issued both through the portal "State Services", and personally in the offices of the MFC. The self-prohibition introduced in this way will apply to all legal gambling establishments: bookmakers, sweepstakes, casinos and halls with slot machines. Information about this initiative was provided by the Ministry of Economic Development of the region.

The procedure of self-restriction of access to gambling is carried out by the Unified Gambling Regulator. To activate the ban, you must apply for inclusion in a specially created Register of individuals who have decided to refrain from participating in gambling.
