The surgeon of the Lipetsk cancer center received three patents for inventions in the treatment of tumors

The Lipetsk Cancer Center not only uses modern methods of treatment, but also develops its own medical solutions. Surgeon, Candidate of Medical Sciences Alexei Zagadaev has already received three patents for inventions and continues to improve the method of photodynamic therapy.

This technology allows you to fight malignant neoplasms without surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. The patient is injected with a special drug that accumulates in the tumor. Then it is exposed to a laser, as a result of which malignant cells are destroyed, and healthy tissues remain intact.

This approach is especially relevant in the treatment of tumors in the face and neck, when it is important to preserve the functions of organs, the ability to speak and breathe normally. Unlike surgery, photodynamic therapy avoids surgery-related changes and the need for recovery.
