Cool, fun, bright: participants and guests - about the V Championship of wood picking among journalists

Today, on November 8, the Vyach reservoir of the Minsk district hosts the anniversary V Championship in wood picking among journalists. This year, 37 teams, consisting of employees of leading republican and regional media, their foreign colleagues and representatives of press services of various departments, came to compete for the victory. With what mood the participants and guests of the event came to the championship, the correspondent of sb.by learned.

While representatives of various media determine which of them is the strongest, skillful, hardy, masterfully managing not only with a pen, but also with a saw, an axe, we watched how the rest of the guests of the championship support them.

Margarita Yuzefovich, a reporter of the TV channel “First Information”, expressed the opinion that the Championship in wood picking among journalists gives cheerfulness and energy, and also charges everyone with warmth – both participants and guests of the event.

- It should be noted that the organization of the event is amazing. There are special places where you can sit and eat, as well as watch the competitions, said Margarita Yuzefovich. - Cool, fun, bright! these are the words that can describe today.

One of the participants of the championship, special correspondent of the Publishing house “SB Belarus Today” Anastasia Tselyuk takes part in the event for the fifth time. She competed in the Women's Ring of Firewood relay:

- It was a bit difficult at the moment when there was a log cut with knots, but as a participant in the next championship, we face this every year. In my opinion, this event is a good team building, thanks to which you can spend time with colleagues, communicate, and just be outdoors. It’s great that journalists picked up this initiative of the President, which has grown into such a large-scale festival.

- While journalists compete with each other, guests of the championship can also find interesting activities for themselves. For example, we participated in an interactive event organized specifically for viewers. It was necessary to cut down a log of a specific thickness. And we successfully completed this task! This year we came here for the first time, but we can already say unequivocally that we will definitely return next.
