Crimean received 15 years of strict regime for treason

The Supreme Court of Crimea found a 51-year-old resident of Krasnoperekop district guilty of treason. This was reported in the press service of the court.

The court found that the defendant collected, stored and transmitted to the enemy information that could be used against the Russian Armed Forces. The actions were committed in the conditions of the use of weapons and military equipment with the participation of the Russian Federation.

The punishment is 15 years imprisonment in a correctional colony of strict regime. In addition, the restriction of liberty for one year and six months after serving the basic term is imposed.

The case was considered behind closed doors: the materials contain information constituting state secrets. The sentence has not yet entered into force.

In Crimea, this is not an isolated case. In October 2026, the FSB detained a resident of Sevastopol born in 1969, who on his own initiative contacted the SBU and transmitted data that could harm the security of Russia.

In September 2026, a resident of Kerch born in 1988 was detained: he created a group in the messenger to raise funds for the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and sent information about the locations of air defense units and other military facilities on the peninsula.

At the same time, it became known that another resident of Sevastopol will appear before the Supreme Court of Crimea for transferring information to the enemy about the locations of the Black Sea Fleet.
