Militia Lieutenant Olga Zmurshchik is able to combine what many seem impossible to combine. She is a soloist of the orchestra of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Youth Pop Theater, a member of the retro vumen trio “Pink Roses”, and a caring mother. As she manages to do everything, read the material of the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
Three roles of one artist
- Olga, how did three creative teams appear in your life?
- It all started in college. When she studied at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, a casting was announced at the stage theater. It passed successfully, and since then, this scene has become my home – I have been happy to return here for 25 years.
In parallel, I serve in the orchestra of the Mingory Executive Committee – for 21 years. As they say, there is such a profession – to protect the Motherland, and my task is to give people a holiday. I also got into the orchestra as a student: the head of the team came to our university in search of soloists. At that time, cover bands almost did not exist, except for the orchestra of Mikhail Finberg, where it is incredibly difficult to break through. So I immediately agreed to an audition. Since then, we have been together: touring not only in Minsk, but throughout Belarus.
And our retro woumen trio "Pink Roses" was three years old. When the producer and my longtime friend Andrey Guzel offered to become a member of the project, I doubted - I was used to performing solo. Ekaterina Muratova knew the stage theater, with Marina Putnikova met already on the project. Literally from the first rehearsals we caught one wave, and I realized: this is my team.

I really like to rethink retrohits, make modern arrangements. The girls and I really became friends and became characters. I am probably the most harmful in the trio, but also the oldest, so I use authority (smiles). She is demanding in her work to herself and to others, but we cherish our relationships. Audiences often thank us for our intelligence on stage, beautiful outfits, lively sound and soulful nostalgic repertoire. We didn’t originally plan to sing our own songs, but now we have four original tracks: “Rain”, “I Choose You”, “You Lost” and “The Kid’s Word”. We perform them with great pleasure.
How to get around "Songs"
- Your trio took part in the karaoke show “Friday Noise” with Rodion Gazmanov, where you beat the soloists of the legendary “Songs”. How was it?
- Usually, non-professional performers sing in this show, but for the New Year's edition, the organizers made an exception - they invited us and the Pesnyarov. It was an exciting creative competition. It is hard to outdo me in guessing melodies: I have listened to a variety of music all my life. The project gave us amazing emotions, and the victory was a pleasant bonus.
- Working in teams with completely different repertoire, is it easy to rebuild?
- It depends on the context. When I wear a ceremonial police uniform, I can’t perform, for example, “The Hijacker”. Here you need a completely different repertoire: patriotic works, favorite Soviet classics. With the image changes the inner mood - I become more restrained.

Switching helps experience, professionalism and, of course, a sincere desire to work. Yeah, sometimes it's hard. The load is serious, I am constantly on the move. But even during the sabbatical, I am only enough for a few days of silence - and then again pulls on stage, to the audience, to the unique pre-concert excitement.
Behind the scenes of beauty
- Share the secret of youth and beauty. How do you keep the bar?
- My biggest secret is that I don’t like to overeat. I love vegetables and greens, but I am indifferent to sweets. Good genetics and physical activity on the stage also help. At the concerts of the trio Pink Roses, we dance and sing for an hour and a half. I draw inspiration from the love of life and the energy of the hall - over the years of my career I have learned to feel the audience subtly.
Viewers see a beautiful picture and do not even guess how much energy goes behind the scenes: how hard it is to restore hair after garments and tons of varnish or save the skin after a tight stage makeup. Best beauty treatment for me to sleep. To sleep an extra hour after a difficult night move is a real happiness.
With this schedule, I don't forget my family. My son Yaroslav went to the fourth grade. I love spending time with him and helping him with his lessons. I have no intention of growing a child prodigy out of him. The main thing is that he became a kind and responsible person, valued people and in the future chose a profession for love.

The philosophy of positivity
- You seem to be able to program yourself to be positive against all odds.
- Over the years, I’ve really become calmer: less worried and irritated if things don’t go according to plan. I learned to let go. She used to be much more impulsive, she could accumulate resentments for a long time.
Now I understand clearly: you will not be good for everyone. You just need to treat others with respect, and life itself will put everything in place. I don't think about envy or the evil eye. I treat other people’s negativity with understanding. For example, if I see a girl in the city in full parade - in a luxurious dress and studs - I am not envious. On the contrary, I think, "That's great." I have a scene where I can walk outfits and she wants to celebrate in everyday life. I am happy for her and mentally thank modern fashion for the fact that now you can wear sneakers under your dress. It's so convenient!
