The Governor of the Tula region Dmitry Milyaev reported on the significant expansion of the network of agricultural classes in schools in the region, where their number increased from twelve to twenty-three in one academic year.
Within the framework of the federal project “Personnel in the agro-industrial complex”, implemented as part of the national project “Technological provision of food security”, systematic work continues to train future specialists for agriculture. The program started in 2025 with twelve classes in seven municipalities, and in 2026 two more districts joined the initiative, and from the first of September new venues opened their doors to students.
In agricultural classes, students are not limited to theoretical classes, but regularly go to existing agricultural enterprises to get acquainted with real production processes. Advanced training in chemistry and biology gives graduates a competitive advantage when entering the best agricultural and technical universities in the country. The head of the region stressed that this is a real chance for young people to choose a profession that will always be in demand and see the modern agro-industrial complex as a high-tech and promising sector of the economy.
