The Ministry of Ecology of the Moscow region warned the authorities of Domodedovo about the risk of pollution of Rojaika

Specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Nature Management of the Moscow Region conducted an inspection in the village of Nikitskoe, Domodedovo urban district. The reason for the supervisory action was information about the possible discharge of untreated sewage onto the soil, which posed a threat of pollutants entering the Rojaika River.
During the inspection of the territory, ecovigilance inspectors found an underground collector’s water outlet on a land plot belonging to undelimited state property. According to the head of the department Tikhon Firsov, at the time of the inspection, the discharge of sewage was not made, and there were no signs of pollution of the river itself. "However, the risk remains," the minister stressed.
Since the identified facility is located on the lands for which the municipality is responsible and is directly connected with the drainage system, the Ministry of Ecology sent an official warning to the administration of the Domodedovo district. The document indicates the inadmissibility of violation of mandatory environmental requirements. Now the local authorities will have to strengthen control over the state of the reservoir to prevent possible damage to the water body.
