There are 25% more young teachers in Nizhny Novgorod schools and kindergartens

This year, 519 students joined the teams of educational institutions of the Nizhny Novgorod Department of Education. According to the department, as of September 1, there were almost 2 thousand teachers under the age of 35, and thanks to the arrival of students, the number of young specialists increased by almost a quarter.

This was achieved through additional support measures. Since September 1, 2026, on behalf of the mayor, additional payments have been introduced to students — future teachers who simultaneously study at universities and colleges and work in municipal educational institutions. The size of the payment depends on the level of education: university students receive 5 thousand rubles to their salaries, students of secondary vocational schools — 3 thousand rubles.

In the future, pedagogical teams are faced with the task of creating the necessary conditions for young professionals who are ready to be realized in the profession and give attention and time to the education and upbringing of children.
