Muftiate opened a center for studying the cultural heritage of the peoples of Dagestan

To study the history, traditions and spiritual experience of the peoples of Dagestan will be a new center, opened under the Muftiate of the Republic.

The new unit of the religious organization will cooperate with leading historians, ethnographers and archaeologists of Dagestan and Russia.

The Muftiate noted that the center will be based on scientific objectivity and careful attitude to facts. This is especially important now that the history of Russia and Dagestan is increasingly being distorted.
