The Museum of IZO Karelia invites to “Silence” and St. Petersburg sketches
The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia announced the launch of two new exhibition projects at the Museum of Fine Arts

The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia announced the launch of two new exhibition projects at the Museum of Fine Arts. Both expositions are devoted to understanding the place of man in the modern world, his relationship with the urban environment and the natural landscape.
The central event was the exhibition “In the Images of St. Petersburg”, organized with the support of MISP (Museum of Art of St. Petersburg XX-XXI centuries). Visitors can get acquainted with the graphics and paintings of the masters of the Leningrad school of the first half of the last century, including the works of N. Lapshin, V. Pakulin and A. Rusakov. Special attention is paid to the monographic sections: rare drawings by Ivan Petrovsky and the cycle “Big Nudes” by Pelagei Shuriga, written during the evacuation years, are presented. The exhibition also includes a gallery of portraits, reflecting the types of Leningraders - from the intelligentsia to workers.
In parallel, the photo project “Silence” started at the Art-Prospect site. Until November 3, you can see the works of Karelian photographers Arseniy Morozov and Alena Ignoeva. The authors go beyond the simple fixation of reality, offering the viewer a deep philosophical study of the themes of creativity, nature and the inner world of man.
