At the "Belshina" plan in 2027 to launch mass production of tires for electric vehicles

Belshina is developing tires for electric vehicles, which are planned to be put into mass production by February 2027. This was reported to journalists by the Director of the plant mass tires Yuri Rusetsky, writes sb.by.

Yuri Rusetsky noted:

- We are constantly improving the design characteristics. We are currently working on a tire for electric vehicles. There are certain design characteristics that we have to withstand.

According to the director of the plant, plans to produce tires with a diameter of 19 and 20 inches.

- In principle, the optimal period for the development and production of a tire for serial production is six months. And we set ourselves the task of mastering and putting these tires into mass production by February 2027. This is a new topic for us. It all depends on how successfully the designers work on it.

Yuri Rusetsky said that over the past 10 years, the company has mastered the production of more than 60 tire models for passenger and freight transport.

- Today we produce more than 200 types of tires, of which 120 are passenger cars. The company employs 1540 people, we work around the clock. If earlier the percentage of presence in the domestic market did not exceed 25 percent, today this figure has approached 50 percent.
