On the regional highways Vologda region this year restored 18 bridges

Since the beginning of 2026, 18 bridges on regional and inter-municipal roads have been put in order in the Vologda region. Work took place in 11 districts. Until the end of December, they plan to hand over the bridges across the Strig in the Velikoustyugsky district and Sukhona in Sokolsky.

For many small settlements, such structures remain the only year-round routes to district centers, schools, hospitals and shops.

The regional government emphasizes that road infrastructure remains a priority. Special attention is paid to the routes that people use every day. When planning repairs, specialists assess the intensity of movement, permissible loads, condition of load-bearing structures, terrain features and seasonal conditions.

Restoration of crossings goes hand in hand with the repair of the roads themselves.
