Yamal will prepare a group of teachers to work with children right in the tundra
Five teachers from the small indigenous peoples of the North from Yamal enrolled in targeted training at the Herzen Institute

Five teachers from among the indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North from Yamal entered targeted training at the Herzen Institute. According to the press service of the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the program prepares teachers for organizing preschool classes directly in places of nomads. Training takes place in absentia, so teachers continue to work and immediately apply new knowledge in practice.
This year, students were Edaine Khudi from the Yamal boarding school in Yar-Sal, Nadezhda Sarotetto from the Panayev Educational Center, Inna Kuritchak from the Samburg School, Olga Seraskhova from Tazovsky and Kristina Yadne from Nyda.
Four more teachers, who entered the previous year, continue their studies. They work in Seyakha, Panayevsk, Tarko-Sala and Nyd.
The program has been operating since 2017 and is designed for graduates of Yamal colleges and technical schools who have already received the specialty of a primary school teacher. Over the past eight years, 19 indigenous people have participated.
In Yamal began to prepare a chatbot for indigenous peoples of the North in the messenger “Max”. The service already includes 32 information cards on regional and municipal support measures, another 20 are in development.
