Deputy head of the territorial bodies of Rosprirodnadzor Alexei Ivankin announced a warning to the administration of the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region. Information about the violation was posted on the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation on October 9.

The Department for Nature Protection from the Committee on Ecology of the Leningrad region received a letter from a local resident. He complained that there was a landfill on District Street in the city of Vsevolozhsk, on two sites (houses 7A and 9A). The committee checked these places and found a large pile of land with waste, such as pieces of asphalt.

The administration of the Vsevolozhsky district of the Leningrad region disposes of undelimited state land plots in the Bugrov urban settlement. According to Article 13 of the Land Code of the Russian Federation, land protection includes the activities of authorities, legal entities and individuals to preserve land as a natural resource. Rights holders are obliged to protect land from pollution and other negative impacts.

According to the law, owners and users of land plots are obliged to use them for their intended purpose, without harming the environment, comply with environmental and sanitary standards, prevent pollution and land degradation, as well as comply with other requirements of the legislation.
