The main task of the campaign is to attract public attention to the increase in the incidence of bronchial asthma, COPD and pneumonia.
The Department of Health of the NAO noted that the life of each cell of the body depends on oxygen, the delivery of which is responsible for the respiratory system. The lungs play a key role in the gas exchange between blood and air.
“The lungs are the only organ that has direct contact with the external environment. With each breath we receive not only oxygen, but also dust, allergens, viruses, bacteria and toxins. A person breathes about 10,000 liters of air per day. If it is contaminated, not only the respiratory system suffers, but also the heart, brain and the whole body as a whole, the ministry said.
