National Park "Pripyatsky" became the platform of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Natural Environment of Antarctica"

VI International scientific and practical conference "Natural environment of Antarctica" from 23 to 25 September is held on the basis of the National Park "Pripyat" in the agro-town Lyaskovichi Gomel region, reports sb.by.

According to the organizing committee of the event, the scientific forum focuses on environmental problems and protection of the Antarctic environment, progressive methods and approaches in studying the biota of the continent, modern experience and advanced technologies for creating polar infrastructure facilities and other aspects. About 50 reports of more than 80 scientists on the results of studies of atmospheric and climate physics, geology and hydrology, research in the biomedical industry are presented at the conference sites.

The results of the scientific and practical conference will be summed up at a meeting of the bilateral Russian-Belarusian group on Antarctic issues.
