In connection with the completion of the navigation season in the Republic of Karelia, restrictions are introduced on the output of small vessels for navigation on water bodies. These measures are taken in the framework of ensuring the safety of navigation.
The restrictions come into force in stages:
From November 9: the ban on the withdrawal of small vessels will be valid in the Kalevalsky and Loukhsky districts, as well as in the White Sea, Kemsky, Kostomuksha, Medvezhyegorsky, Muezersky and Segezha municipal districts.
From November 14: restrictions will apply to Kondopozhsky, Olonets, Pryazhinsky, Prionezhsky, Pudozhsky districts, Lakhdenpokhsky, Pitkärantsky, Sortavalsky and Suoyarva municipal districts, as well as to Petrozavodsk urban district.
After the navigation period has been completed, boatmasters need to carry out comprehensive maintenance and conservation of small craft. Access to water bodies on such vessels during the end of navigation is strictly prohibited and is associated with serious risks.
Violation of the established rules and access to water bodies on small vessels after the end of navigation will entail bringing boatmasters to administrative responsibility. Compliance with the established rules is an integral part of ensuring safety at water bodies of the republic.
