Didn't you say "sorry"? Three Steps to Remove the Guilt of the Gone
Heaviness on the soul from unsaid words crushes. The Church offers three real ways to ease conscience and let go of the past.

The man left and the guilt remained. Unsaid words and unpaid debts hang over. How do you apologize to someone who can’t hear? The Church offers three ways.
1. Come to the grave
The easiest way is to take care of the resting place. Remove, plant flowers, fix the fence. But there is a caveat: if this is not the grave of a loved one, ask permission from relatives or neighbors in the cemetery. And be sure to pray. God is alive, and He is able to convey your repentance.
2. Closely n
If you owe him money, help, and promise, go to his family. Pay the debt to their children or parents. Even if they say, “It’s too late now” and refuse, you’ll do it for your soul. You will repay the debt, albeit symbolically, and be able to let go of the burden.
3. Giving charity
What if there are no relatives or you can’t contact them? Give your debt to God through people. Buy groceries to a lonely neighbor or help the temple with the words, “Lord, take this for someone I owe.” Charity erases spiritual debts.
Important: Forgive yourself
We often reproach ourselves for the illusion that “then” there will be time for forgiveness. Let go of that pain. You cannot change the past, but you can change the way you carry it. Do what you can and leave weight in the temple or on the grave. God does not demand the impossible, He only cares about your sincere heart, writes the Zen channel “The Triumph of Orthodoxy”.
